They did a phenomenal job with my rescue Shepherd, Chief, who was reactive towards strangers and many dogs. He and his pack mate, Felipe, did a month-long board and train and are now going on weekly pack hikes. It’s great to have a confident dog capable of going out in public and to see him enjoying himself. - Brad Farnsworth

HIGHLY recommend working with Davis at Paw 2 Paw! She helped us with our 1.5-year-old pup, Sky. Sky is a border collie/Australian shepherd mix who is very high-energy, stubborn, and easily distracted. We worked on leash pulling and keeping Sky engaged with us using the e-collar. Before training, she had terrible on-leash behavior (hard pulling, leash aggression) and an issue with jumping on people. After just 5 sessions, the improvement was incredible. Davis taught us nuanced ways to use the e-collar and engage with Sky that I could never have learned from something like a YouTube video (believe me, I tried!). I am SO happy we decided to train with Davis at Paw 2 Paw. Walks with Sky are so much more enjoyable now and we've been getting a lot of compliments on her behavior. - Jess Huck Woodland

Paw 2 Paw has been an absolute life saver for me & my girl Nellie. I had come to a breaking point with Nellie. She challenged me in ways none of my other dogs have. She's the fifth dog I've personally owned, and she left me crying and beyond frustrated most days. Another photographer friend of mine connected me with Lauren, because I was ready to give up and rehome Nellie. It's not something I took lightly, but Nellie is a very fearful, but super intelligent and driven breed. She's 50% belgian malinios, 35% german shepherd and 15% dutch shepherd. She's a working dog. I was in over my head and I didn't know what to do. We had gone through two trainers already. I felt like a failure. I failed this dog. I was heartbroken. I was exhausted. I contacted Lauren to evaluate Nellie and to discuss options for rehoming my girl. I was afraid I couldn't give Nellie the life she deserved. Within the 1 hour consultation, Lauren identified many of Nellie's issues, and I was seeing a difference. I went home with a new outlook. Lauren took Nellie in for 9 days for boarding, and within a few days had Nellie interacting with other dogs. I couldn't believe it! I was told by two different trainers that Nellie should never be allowed around other dogs. That she was aggressive. Seeing Nellie interested in other dogs, in a playful way, brought tears of joy to my eyes. Now Nellie goes on a pack walk at least once a week with Lauren's team at Paw 2 Paw and gets to run and play with all her dogs friends. Lauren and Paw 2 Paw truly has been a gift to us! - Erica Thompson Swantek

“Paw to Paw really changed our lives for the better and I can't recommend them enough. We have a 2.5 year old Catahoula/Pit mix dog who had a long bite history. He had issues with men and despite working with 2 other trainers (both positive only) and working daily with him with treats for over a year to desensitize him to men, nothing we did helped with the biting. He got to the point where he seemed no longer scared of men with positive only training - which was an improvement - but was still trying to bite them anytime they walked by him - and no amount of treats or training seemed to be able to stop it. We got to the point where he just constantly had to be separated from men by a barrier and a muzzle. I was very hesitant to try using an e collar at first after being told some horror stories about it making reactive dogs worse - which I think without Lauren's expert guidance could have been the case if we tried to do it on our own. But as we reached our breaking point I hired Lauren at Paw to Paw who introduced us to and walked us through every step of using an E collar with our boy, and we finally have found a way to regain control. She was available via text and phone in between sessions to answer any of our questions and checked in on us regularly. In just a few short weeks he has regained his freedom and can actually be around people again and is so much happier for it. I have regained my sanity and been able to slowly let go of the constant anxiety I had whenever my dog met someone new. I can't thank Paw to Paw enough - I only wish I had used them sooner! Highly recommend for anyone with a reactive dog with or without a bite history!” – Mary Hazard

“We sent our rescue Anatolian Pyrenees (we think) for board and train and couldn't be happier with the results. Indy liked to bark, chase cars and run off among other bad habits. He is now well mannered, trained and we are confident that he will not run off. Being able to have him off lease and well mannered is incredible for him and us!” – Scott McDonald

“Lauren is wonderful! She goes above and beyond with training and taking care of her dogs. There is never been a time where I had a question and she didn’t know the answer to (and then some) with anything to do with my dog. Whenever I pick him up for the day from Pack hikes he is tired and happy! I don’t know where me and my boy Cheddar would be without Paw 2 Paw.” – Madeline Pulley

“Lauren trained our Alaskan Malamute puppy, Aspen, a little under a year ago. Her professionalism and skill with dogs is unparalleled. Aspen is so well trained with her recall and basic commands we can take her anywhere (and she's massive so this is quite and acomplishment) with no stress! On top of the training we also board with Lauren and send our pup on "pack hikes" as often as we can! Our pup absolutely loves her and freaks out evertime she sees Lauren, her truck, or her house. Bottom line is you will not be disappointed with sending your dog to spend time with this AWESOME trainer and the results speak for themselves!” – Jarred McDonald

“Meet Cash. Before his board and train with Paw 2 Paw he was the definition of "ausshole". He came to Lauren severely lacking boundaries, scared of just about everything, reactive, and with a bite history. Lauren never once gave up on him. She helped him work through his barriers, and built him up into a confident, well mannered, and very well trained boy. Through her skill, patience and determination we brought home a brand new dog. He is now so happy and I am confident in taking him to food lots, parks, stores etc. We are so grateful for her and all she has done to help us and our Cash live our best and happiest life full of all the adventures! DEFINITELY recommend!” – Kelsee Fuller

“From the beginning Lauren makes you feel confident in your dog!

We got our puppy and from the day we got her (Addie), Lauren was very involved and helped us with every step of the way.

We did a board and train for Addie. 3 week program and Addie came back a different dog but in the best way possible! She is an amazing dog thanks to Paw 2 Paw.

Lauren makes sure that you are set up for success, between all the little session to make sure I’m doing it right and from Addie’s training, she will never let you fail even when your dogs training session is over. You definitely become family and I am very thankful for her.” – Sam Ozment

“We drove Juniper up to Bend from California because we saw the results my brother had with his dog, Aspen, after her board and train. I am so glad we did. Lauren is amazing and now Juniper can go anywhere with us. Lauren is patient, kind and the dogs learn because they want to not out of fear. Juniper does incredible things and continues to amaze me! The picture here is at a busy outdoor venue with lots of people walking by and you can see her on her “place” command. If you’re on the fence about the board and train, it is well worth it and you should do it. Lauren is the best!” – Corinne McDonald

“Lauren trained our Golden Retriever in a board and train. While I was hesitant about leaving our puppy with someone and not being able to see her I am so happy I did. Lauren kept in constant contact, shared videos, photos and updates. Our pup went in as a sassy pants with attitude and came home a well behave smart girl. I highly recommend using Paw2Paw” – Lynette Smith

“Paw 2 Paw has changed our lives. We have an 80 pound American Staffy who can be quite bull-headed at times and Lauren has helped us tremendously. Not just with training either. Lauren goes above and beyond with caring for the dogs too- our girl was sick one time when boarding her with Paw 2 Paw, and Lauren made time to go to the emergency vet and wait for nearly 3 hours with our dog. You want someone who cares about dogs? Here she is. The training and the love she gives to her animals is just beautiful and loving” – Kelly Odden

“2.5 year old German shepard mix male. we needed to work on his teenager walk aggression and being able to be nice at a table out to dinner. HE IS A DIFFERENT DOG! it is such a joy and peace of mind when you can better know the behavior you want and how to get it. Paw 2 Paw and Lauren were able to teach us and our pooch how to use an eCollar. I have a working dog breed and he needs a job and now he is super close to perfect.” – Allison McClellan

“We have been to 6 different doggy daycares in our travels (including one other in Bend), and Lauren’s is absolutely the best place we have ever taken our dog Partner. She dotes on the dogs, is incredibly professional, and has helped us peel away Partner’s quirks to begin training him. Most importantly, Partner clearly loves going to Lauren’s and doesn’t look back as he trots into her house in the mornings.

Partner is a large 6yo rescued yellow lab who has spent many weekends going on hikes with Lauren’s pack while we are out skiing. Lauren has also helped us get Partner started with e-collar training to improve walking on a leash, among other things (he is incredibly stubborn, refuses to u-turn, and sits when he doesn’t want to go a certain direction). Lauren taught us the in’s and out’s of e-collars for beginners, and in 4 sessions he is no longer sitting and is u-turning like a pro!

Partner is also epileptic and has IBD, and Lauren has been very conscientious about giving him appropriate treats only, and keeping an eye out for any unusual behavior. She has gone above and beyond, even helping us strategize on how best to maintain his nails.

Lauren is generous with her time, pays close attention to each dog, and keeps you up to date with photos of how the day went (which I really appreciate!). If you need someone to watch or train your pup, look no further. Thank you, Lauren!” – Hope Grauel

“I have a high energy, anxious heeler mix that I get nervous leaving with just anyone. He can be a bit much for most people. Lauren took him for a week while we traveled for a wedding and we never had to worry. He came home happy, healthy, and well exercised. Thank you so much!” – Lauren Myers-Ramirez
